Introduction
In this post, we will learn steps to create Test case in TestLink. Test cases are created under a Test Suite which is associated with a Test Project. We can organize and group related test cases for a component or feature under one Test Suite.
Create Test case
Select the Project in the Test Project drop-down list.
Click on the Test Specification link in the dashboard or the menu icon.
Create a Test Suite. Steps to create Test Suite are: Create Test Suite
Select the Test Suite from the left Navigator tree. Click on the Test Suite in the navigator tree to see the available test case operations.
Click on the Actions wheel icon at the top.
This will expand two rows for
- Test Suite Operations
- Test Case Operations
Click on the plus symbol (+) for the Test Case Operations to create a Test case.
Click on the Create button to create the test case. Enter the Test Case details like:
- Test Case Title
- Preconditions
- Summary
- Status
- Importance
- Execution Type
- Estimated Execution Duration Time in mins
- Keywords
Once the test case is created, the left navigation tree updates the count in the TestSuite.
We can add Test Steps to the Test Case. Create Test Case Steps:
