Flowgorithm Constants

Overview

In this tutorial, we will learn about Flowgorithm Constants. Flowgorithm predefined constants
allow programmers to use them directly in the flowcharts, without the need to declare and assign values to them.

Unlike Flowgorithm variables, the value of the constant doesn’t change. The programmer cannot re-define or assign any other values to a constant.

Flowgorithm Constants

Flowgorithm provides three predefined constants. They are reserved words and programmers cannot declare them as identifiers in the flowchart. There are as follows:

Flowgorithm Constant Description
Pi Mathematical constant ( π = 3.14159265358979 ). This constant is normally used in mathematical calculations.

pi is a mathematical constant that denotes the ratio of the circle’s circumference to its diameter. It is an irrational number that cannot be expressed as a ratio of two integers.

True Boolean value for True.
False Boolean value for False.

True/False are used to initialize Boolean variables and flags in the flowcharts.

Example

Sample flowchart that displays the value of the pi to the output console screen. We can use the mathematical Greek symbol π or pi.
