Overview
We can install the TestLink Software application under a domain from the cPanel hosting platform if the Hosting provider supports the auto-installer application like Installatron, Softaculous etc.
Prerequisites:
- Domain
- cPanel Hosting
- TestLink Auto Installer Support
Auto Installer Features
Installer provides many features out of the box for any application, not only for TestLink. Auto installer are based on script based installations.
- Create Staging environment.
- One click Clone setup.
- One click Application Backup.
- Import from Remote server.
- Application Uninstall from the Hosting account.
Install Steps
Unlike the traditional LAMP/WAMP stack setup, installing TestLink under a domain with correct hosting provider is easy. Hosting platforms like cPanel provide a one-click auto installer for TestLink application.
Login to the hosting account.
Launch cPanel hosting panel.
Search for the TestLink application.
Click on the Install Now button.
Choose the domain where you want the TestLink to be hosted.
Enter the TestLink directory. Choose a directory under the public_html directory
Choose the admin username/password for the TestLink instance.
The installer would automatically install the TestLink and other configuration steps for you.
File Manger
We can manage the files using the cPanel File Manager. We can upload files, perform minor edits to files, create folders etc.
