Overview
In this tutorial, we’ll be going through the steps of installing Notepad++ Text editor on Ubuntu Server.
Environment: Ubuntu Linux Server LTS.
Installing Notepad++
Click on Show applications tab on the left bottom corner.
Launch Ubuntu Software
Search for the application. Notepad++
Click on the Notepad++ search result.
Click on the Install button.
The application would be downloaded and installed on your machine.
Verification
Launch the Notepad++ Text Editor application. Create a text file and save some text. Save the file and reopen the file. These basic steps ensure that the application works as expected on the machine.
