Introduction
The Command Prompt tool is a command-line interpreter that ships with the Windows operating systems. There are several important use cases for this tool. We can execute commands and batch scripts using the command prompt. Some tasks that can be performed need administrative privileges with elevation.
In this post, we will learn how to open a normal command prompt and with admin privileges.
Command Prompt
- Launch the run prompt. On Windows 10 its click in on the Search icon next to the Start windows icon.
- Type cmd.
- Click on the command prompt result to launch the tool.
Run as Administrator
Launch the run prompt. On Windows 10 its click in on the Search icon next to the Start windows icon.
Type cmd.
Right-click and choose ‘Run as administrator’
Click Yes option on the ‘User Access Control’ screen.
