How to create a recovery drive on Windows 10<\/h2>\n

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a recovery drive on Windows 10 operating system. In case of any hardware issues, recovery drive helps to reinstall the Windows 10 operating system. Its better to create a recovery drive after the first use.<\/p>\n

Required: A new USB drive with >= 16 GB.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Create a Recovery drive<\/h3>\n

Insert the USB drive on to one of the USB slot.<\/p>\n

In the Search box next to the Windows <\/span>Start<\/b> \u00a0button, search for <\/span>Create a recovery drive <\/b>and click on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Elevate on the UAC ( User Access Control) prompt. Click Yes on the prompt.<\/p>\n

Backup System files<\/h3>\n

Select the USB drive and click on the Next<\/strong> button<\/p>\n

Select Backup system files to the recovery drive. Click on the Next<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

Click on the Create button to create the drive. Everything on the USB drive will be deleted.<\/p>\n

Once we click on create button, the system would create the recovery drive. Please be patient as the process might take a while. The system would back all the files to the recovery drive during this process.<\/p>\n
