TestLink Install on Linux

Overview

In this tutorial, we will go through the steps involved in TestLink Install on the Linux machine. The distribution of Linux is Debian based Ubuntu Server LTS. TestLink is an open-source test and requirements management tool.

Prerequisites

 

LAMP Stack

LAMP stack stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. The operating system, web server, database server, and the language needed to run Testlink instance. A similar variant is called the WAMP stack. TestLink Web Install

Click on the New Installation link to start the TestLink install.

TestLink New Installation Steps:

Acceptance of TestLink License
Verification of System & Configuration Requirements
Definition of Database Access
Create TestLink Database, Testlink DB User, Tables and data.
Create configuration file.
Verify and continue TestLink Install.
TestLink login.

 

Accept License

Read the license GNU GPL License agreement.

Check on the ‘I agree..’ checkbox and click on the Continue button.

 

 

Install checks

TestLink will carry out a number of checks to see if everything’s ready to start the setup.

 

 

DB Configuration

Configure the MySQL database with TestLink.

 

 

TestLink Install Success

 

 

We are done with the TestLink installation. We can now log in and start using the TestLink application.
