Selenium IDE Introduction
Selenium IDE, also known as SIDE, is an open-source record and playback test automation tool for web application automation. SIDE stands for Selenium Integrated Development Environment.
Shinya Kasatani of Japan developed Selenium IDE in 2006. Initially, Selenium IDE was a Mozilla Firefox browser extension that allowed testers to record, edit, and debug tests.
Selenium IDE is a web browser add-on that records clicks, typing, and other actions to make a recorded test, which you can play back in the web browser.
