Difference between ISO 9000 and IEEE standards?
Overview
Let’s differentiate between ISO 9000 and IEEE standards in this tutorial.
ISO 9000
The ISO 9000 series of standards are intended for the organization’s quality system – they are generic standards applicable for all types of organizations; they specify what the quality system has to achieve and are prescriptive on how this is done.
IEEE standards
IEEE standards are for specific software engineering areas and give specific and reasonably detailed information for the area. They include templates, forms, guidelines, etc., and can be of more immediate and direct help in specific work.
