Search Results Reasoning Question
Overview
Let’s practice some reasoning questions in this post. This is a sample question based on search results when searching for two search terms with Boolean operators.
Search Data
Assume the below search results data for the following queries on a popular search engine.
We got 8,500 search results when we search for “Testing” OR “Development” search query on the search engine.
We got 750 search results when we search for “Testing” AND “Development” on the search engine.
We got 2,500 search results when we search for “Testing” NOT “Development” on the search engine.
Question
What would be the number of search results for the following search query on the search engine based on the data above:
Search Query : “Development” NOT “Testing”
Hints
Consider the results for the two search terms as Sets. Draw the Venn Diagram for two sets. The intersection part is the query for both the results that contain both the search terms.
