An Eclipse Perspective is a collection and arrangement of views and navigation actions in the Eclipse UI screen. You can choose a different perspective from the Open Perspective window.
Window >> Open Perspective >> Other…
Choose your desired perspective from the window as shown below. To see the list of all perspectives, click on Other… menu item.
Java perspective is an important perspective in Eclipse. This perspective is designed for Java development. It offers Package Explorer, a Type Hierarchy and Java specific navigation actions.
You can customize the perspective with the use of views. You can select the views by navigating to Window >> Show View
Views in Eclipse helps you to perform some actions while developing and running, debugging the application.
Package Explorer view helps you to browse projects and open the artifacts in the editor.
Debug view helps with managing the debugging of the running java application.
Call Hierarchy view gives you the details of callers and methods called for the selected method.
Breakpoints this view lists all the breakpoints set during debugging of the application.
Note that you can select only one perspective at a time, while working with Eclipse from the multiple perspectives shown above.
