Install Katalon Recorder on Chrome

Katalon Recorder is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that helps you record, debug, and play automated test scripts. It’s one of the easiest tools to get started with UI Test Automation because it requires little to no programming knowledge.

Katalon Recorder supports major browsers, making it versatile for web testing. It is compatible with the following web browsers. The tool is available for the following browsers:

• Google Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
• Mozilla Firefox add-on from the Firefox Add-on site.
• Microsoft Edge extension from the Microsoft Edge Add-on store.

Install Katalon Recorder

To install Katalon Recorder, follow these steps:

Launch the Google Chrome browser.

Open Chrome Web Store:

Go to the Chrome Web Store by visiting

• chrome.google.com/webstore

Search for Katalon Recorder:

In the search bar, type “Katalon Recorder” and press Enter.

Add to Chrome

Find Katalon Recorder in the search results and click on it. Click the “Add to Chrome” button.

 

 

Confirm Installation

A pop-up will appear asking you to confirm. Click “Add extension” to complete the installation.

 

 

Access Katalon Recorder

Once installed, the Katalon Recorder icon will appear in the Chrome toolbar. Click it to start using the extension.

Katalon Recorder is perfect if you’re new to automation testing. You can start with recording simple tests, then gradually move to exporting code and integrating with Selenium/WebDriver for advanced testing.
