Let’s learn how to add team members to an OpenAI Project using the OpenAI platform. Steps to create an OpenAI project:
Steps to Add Team Members
Log in to the OpenAI Platform as an owner.
Click on the top left corner drop-down and select the project you want to add members to.
Invite Team Members
Under Organization >> Members
You can invite team members to the project. Click on the + Invite button.
Enter their email addresses (multiple addresses can be given as a comma-separated list).
Select the Role from the drop-down. Click on the Invite button. They will receive an invitation to join the project, which they must accept to be added.
Add Team Members
The organization owner can add members to specific projects once the members get on board using the invitation links.
- Select the project in the navigation and choose the Members option.
- Project >> Members
- Click on the + Add member button.
- Select the user and the specific role of the user from the drop-down menu.
There are two roles:
- Owner – Modify project, manage project members
- Member – Can make API requests.
Click on the Add button.
If you are setting this up for a specific type of project or using specific tools (like GPT or DALL-E within OpenAI), ensure that all members you add have the necessary permissions and access to the required tools.
