Microsoft PowerPoint is desktop presentation software that allows us to create dynamic slide presentations. PowerPoint slideshows can have text narration, images, animation, videos, etc.

PowerPoint is a powerful program and is often used in company meetings. We can create presentations to explain a topic to co-workers.

 

 

To access and to create a PowerPoint presentation, we need to have Microsoft Office software installed on the Windows PC.

Alternatives

The main drawback of the tool is that we need to have the MS Office suite installed on the desktop computer to use the PowerPoint software. Work collaboration on the presentation document is limited.

Microsoft and Google have come up with online presentation tools to overcome these drawbacks. Examples of online presentation software are as follows :
