cPanel File Manager
cPanel File Manager allows you to manage website files hosted on the website. cPanel File Manager is a web-based application that manages the files and folders in your web hosting account. It allows you to upload, download, edit, and organize files directly from your web browser. It’s a handy tool for website administrators to handle their website files easily.
Steps
Login to cPanel with your credentials.
To open File manager, navigate to Files > File Manager.
You can upload, edit, delete, and organize your website files.
Common directories:
- public_html – The public_html folder is a standard directory on a web server where all the files accessible to the public are stored. It is the root folder for the website.
- cgi-bin – for CGI scripts.
- public_ftp—The public_ftp folder is a directory typically used to store files accessible for public download over File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
Use the Upload button to upload files from your local computer. To upload a file to the website, choose the target folder in the left navigation tree.
You can edit files directly in cPanel by clicking on the Edit button. To do so, select the file and click on the Edit button.
