Save Draw.io Diagram
Overview
Let’s examine the different options for saving the Draw.io diagram. Draw.io is a popular, free online diagram software for creating flowcharts, process diagrams, organizational charts, and UML models. Note that Draw.io has been rebranded to diagrams.net.
Save Draw.io Diagram
We can save the diagram locally on your machine using the draw.io desktop tool.
Click on the File menu in the top left corner of the draw.io interface.
Choose File >> Save to save the diagram.
The file extension is .drawio. For example, to save the MyDiagram, the file name would be MyDiagram.drawio
Select Export As to save your diagram as a Draw.io file or in a different format
like:
- JPEG
- PNG
- WebP
- HTML
- XML
Save Online
We can save the diagram online using the online tool.
We can choose the cloud option in the startup screen. We can save the diagrams to the following cloud storage services:
- Google Drive
- OneDrive
- Dropbox
- GitHub
- GitLab
Choose the preferred storage option. You’ll be prompted to sign in to your cloud storage account and authorize Draw.io to access it.
Click on the Authorize button.
Enter your cloud service credentials and authorize the tool to save the diagram.
