MS Word Introduction

MS Word is a word processing software from Microsoft Corporation. MS Word software provides tools for creating all kinds of text-based documents. It lets you embed sounds, images, animation, and video clips into your documents.

The MS Word Interface

The word processor’s main editing window displays a document and several tools. The main word processor components are as follows:

• A menu bar, which displays menus.
• Tools bars, which display buttons that represent frequently used commands.
• Rulers show the positions of text, tabs, margins, etc.
• Scroll bars, which let you scroll through a document.
• A status bar displays information about your position in the document, the page count, and the status of keyboard keys.
