What is a Dependency?
A dependency is a logical relationship between tasks, activities, or phases. It can be internal to the project or external to it.
Types of Dependencies
There are four types of dependencies:
- Finish to Start( FtS)
- Start to Finish( FtF)
- Start to Start( StS)
- Finish to Finish ( FtF)
Finish to Start( FtS)
The Task A that the Task B depends on must finish before Task B can start.
Start to Finish( StF)
The Task A that the Task B depends on must start before Task B can finish.
Start to Start( StS)
The Task A that the Task B depends on must start before Task B can start.
Finish to Finish ( FtF)
The Task A that the Task B depends on must finish before Task B can finish.
