Let’s look at the installation process.
Installation Media
Obtain a Windows XP installation CD or an ISO file. If you have a physical CD, insert it into your CD/DVD drive. If you have an ISO file, you can create a bootable USB drive or burn it to a CD/DVD.
Boot from Installation Media. Restart your computer and boot from the installation media. In the BIOS/UEFI settings, change the boot order.
Windows XP Setup
Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the setup process. You’ll be asked to press a key to boot from the CD/DVD or USB.
Partition and File System
Choose a partition on your hard drive where you want to install Windows XP. Then, select a file system, such as NTFS.
Format the chosen partition. This will erase any existing data on the partition.
Product Key
Enter the Windows XP product key when prompted.
Provide user information, including username and organization.
Network Settings
Configure network settings if necessary.
Finish Install
Complete the remaining setup steps, including choosing a computer name, setting the date and time, etc.
Install Drivers
After the installation, install drivers for your hardware components, such as graphics, sound, and network drivers.
Important Note
Windows XP is an outdated operating system that Microsoft no longer supports.
If you are installing an operating system, it is recommended to use a more recent version, like Windows 10.
