Dart Control Flow Statements
Overview
Dart control flow statements control the flow of the Dart program. Based on the program logic, the program code can be skipped, repeated, or redirected using the control flow statements.
Dart Control Flow Statements
The Dart program generally runs sequentially. Sometimes, we may require executing or skipping a group of statements based on the given conditions, repeating the execution of the statements, jumping to another code statement, etc. Control flow statements are used to control the flow of execution in a program. They allow you to make decisions based on certain conditions, repeat the code execution, and perform different actions during program execution.
Types of control flow statements in Dart programming language are as follows:
- Decision-making statements
- Looping statements
- Jump statements
These statements are important because they decide whether other code statement/s will be executed or not. They provide flexibility and allow you to create complex program logic and control the behavior of the Dart programs based on specific conditions.
