Disadvantages of RAPTOR tool
Disadvantages of RAPTOR tool
Raptor is an excellent tool for learning flowcharts and programming skills. However, the tool has some disadvantages. This post will look at some disadvantages of the Raptor flowchart tool.
We can find the advantages of the tool here:
Disadvantages of Raptor
Some of the disadvantages are as follows:
OS Support
The flowchart tool only supports the Windows operating system platform. There is no support for other platforms like Linux, Mac, etc. We have to simulate the tool with simulating compatibility environments, such as Wine, etc.
Flowchart Templates
There is no template support. To draw each flowchart, we have to start from scratch and use symbols from start to end.
Selection symbol
The Yes/No branch is just the opposite. The Yes branch in Raptor is on the left side, while most other tools branch the True conditions to the right.
No Cloud Integration
There is no support for storing the flowcharts online. They are saved on the local machine. There is no cloud integration. There is a single point of failure: if the computer fails to start, all the flowcharts are gone unless you have some backup strategy in place.
Community support
There is no community support for the tool. We have to search online and other documentation to fix the errors.
Date support
There is no straightforward date support or functions to work with dates. We have to compute using existing Current_ functions.
Debugging
Errors in the Raptor flowchart. Debugging the Raptor flowchart is somewhat difficult. Some errors don’t point to the symbol where the error occurs.
