Windows 11 vs Windows 10
This post highlights some of the changes in Windows 11 operating system. We will compare Windows 11 and 10 changes. Some Windows 10 features aren’t available in Windows 11. Certain apps and features have additional system requirements. Some changes in Windows 11 are as follows:
- Cortona will no longer be included in the first boot experience or pinned to the Taskbar.
- Microsoft Edge with IE Mode replaces the Internet Explorer 11 desktop app in Windows 11.
- Desktop wallpaper cannot be roamed to or from device when signed in with a Microsoft account.
- Snipping Tool and Snip and Sketch have been merged into a single experience keeping the familiar Snipping Tool name.
Start Menu
Windows 10:

Windows 11:
Start menu gets a new look on Windows 11. Folders and groups was removed.
Live Tiles
Windows 10:
Live tiles on Windows 10
Windows 11:
Live Tiles will no longer be available on Windows 11.
Windows 11 replaces Lives Tiles with pinned icons in the Start screen and Widgets in the notification area.
Taskbar
Windows 10:
Left centered Taskbar.
Windows 11:
By default, Taskbar would be center aligned with new app icons.
Applications
Some Windows 10 applications are removed or deprecated on Windows 11. For example, Cortona voice assistant is removed.
