C++ Program to Compute Circumference of a Circle
C++ Program: Circumference of Circle
In this tutorial, we will write a sample C++ program to compute the Area and circumference of a Circle using the Code::Blocks IDE on the Windows platform.
Code
In this example, we will take the user input for the circle radius, the program computes the area and circumference of the circle, displays the output to the console screen.
//Compute area and circumference of circle #include<iostream> using namespace std; const double PI=3.1415; int main() { double radius=0.0; cout << "Enter circle radius :"; cin >> radius; double area= PI*radius*radius; double circumference= 2*PI*radius; cout << "Area of circle =: " << area << endl; cout << "Circumference of circle =: " << circumference << endl; return 0; }
Sample output
Run the program and enter sample input. Verify the output of the program.
Enter circle radius :5.0
Area of circle =: 78.5375
Circumference of circle =: 31.415
Screenshot
That’s it.
